Sam and Jess Hindu and English Celebrant Wedding Ceremony

Hindu and English Celebrant Wedding Ceremony

Real Ceremonies by Sonal Dave

The ceremony was held in their home in Essex. It was a beautiful venue with lots of greenery and a lovely summer day for their ceremony.

Meet Sam and Jess

Jess shared that:

I would describe Sam as a people person who is kind to everyone and very generous. Sam always works hard and is driven to live the most fun life and give to the people he loves the most. He is always positive and improves my life, even in the most stressful situations. I am a bit of a stress head and he calms me down always. We have so much fun on our own or with all our friends. Sam finds himself so funny and can sleep more than anyone I have ever met.

Sam shared that:

I would describe Jess as the most supportive person I have ever met, both to me and her friends and family. Jess is an independent, confident person who sees the best in everyone. We get on so well and have so much in common. She has, without doubt, made me a better person!

Planning the Ceremony

Their wedding had to be postponed because of the Covid pandemic, but we kept the communication channels open so that I could support them through this time. It is not easy to go through when you have prepared for a particular day, that being your wedding day, and then you find out it can’t go ahead.

So, the planning started well, and we worked well together to create a ceremony that celebrated them both. With the hiatus and not knowing when we would be able to go ahead, we had Zoom sessions and went through the order, the words and the plans for the ceremony to keep the momentum going and stay positive.

This worked, and on the wedding day, they both looked fabulous, and we had a great wedding ceremony.

Hindu and English Celebrant Wedding Ceremony Elders

What Made this Multicultural Celebrant Wedding Ceremony Special

The musicians included sitar and tabla, who played throughout the ceremony. We had the Milni Ritual, where the elders in the family came to the front and placed garlands on each other, followed by a reading, the couple’s story, promises, the ring exchange and a blessing to finish from me.

Testimonial

Sonal was brilliant from start to finish and stuck with us through the pandemic. The wedding ceremony was fantastic, and we have had great feedback. Sonal comes across as very calm and has a great personality. I would highly recommend her.

Akshitha & Ashwin Multicultural Celebrant Wedding Ceremony

The couple knew what they wanted to include outside the venue and inside for their ceremony, and together, we created a ceremony that they had visualised that respected their cultures and their special bond as a couple.

Indian & Italian Multicultural Celebrant Wedding Ceremony

When creating a celebrant ceremony for two cultures, I must ensure that the ceremony celebrates them as individuals and as a couple. What an opportunity it was to work with the Indian and Italian cultures.

The ceremony for Anjealh and Lewis was held outdoors, and we had the most glorious summer day.
