It has happened, that one thing that you thought you had time to prepare for, but life does not always give us signs and sometimes it just happens. The loss of a loved one. How do you cope? What is it that you should, must and have to do? There is so much to think about and this is where your Funeral Director and Celebrant are your strength and power to make things happen the way you or your loved one has chosen. So many of you will know what a Funeral Director does but, what is a Funeral Celebrant?
The Roles of a Funeral Celebrant
A Funeral Celebrant is a formal term denoting members of a group of non-clergy professionals who are committed to preparing and delivering high-quality funeral ceremonies.
As a Funeral Celebrant, I will support you and your family by meeting you at your home to assist in preparation of the service and the Eulogy. I can assist with choosing music including having live music, choice of songs or hymns to sing and any poems or readings. It is important that I get to know you and your family and especially, our lost soul. It is their final farewell to family, friends and colleagues and their wishes must be respected and upheld.
On the day, I will be at the funeral venue ahead of your scheduled arrival. I will ensure that the chapel is ready as per your requirements. I will conduct the service with dignity and respect, ensuring that family and guests are given time to pay their respects to the departed soul and to each other.
